Dema ran a packed rap night back in the early noughties at Glasgow School of Art and first put on Hud Mo, Rustie, and Heralds of Change. He was hella supportive and nurturing of us guys in the early days and taught us a lot about doing and chopping samples. The more and more we all played together the more his music became this snarling toughened up club music. He can kill any show in any venue and despite his veteran status he loves what he does to this day. His music took another turn to the electronic after a spell in Berlin, but now he’s moved back to the mecca of Glasgow – studying at the art school and working on new shit every day. Watch this space as move towards a record from this guy.

Safehands. Safehands. Safehands. Dema is our main fuckin guy up here, playin our club in the time slot where we want people to go crazy. Even if its some old 90s west coast trunk shakers, Dema gives us the weight that one needs in the wee small hours. And so when we had to make something special for the New Year mix, the longest party of the year – he was first choice.
